Did we all make it through the other side? Have we managed to scrub the mud from our knicks?
Unless you have been living in a wheelie bin for the last few weeks then you would’ve missed the legendary Manchester based festival that is ParkLife.
Let us tell you a little bit about the unique mancunian pastime…
Revellers flock in their hoards to see their favourite acts, have their faces painted and drink until peeing on each other becomes and acceptable form of greeting.
I was personally fortunate enough to pop my ParkLife cherry this year with access to VIP. (Which I would highly recommend…brag)
With eight stages with different themes and top name acts performing ParkLife was bursting with very happy festival goers.
It had it’s pick of Manchester’s best eateries in food truck form dotted all over the show from Almost Famous to our personal favourite this year, Scene. The in-between acts were just as entertaining. We were particularly enamoured with Cheddar Gorgeous and Anna-Phalactic, These two lovelies are well known on the Manchester scene and can be seen shaking their tail feathers in the The Village.
We were also privileged to have a catch up with the main man, Sacha Lord-Marchionne: Warehouse Project and Parklife co-founder. Watch the full video of Mr Deansgate holding onto his moustache for dear life while Sacha rallies around back stage on his personal buggy.
VIVAems Manchester’s craziest female DJ ended the show in the VIP area along with Girl-On-Sax, these two played a fantastic set to a select audience of hard core revellers.
In conclusion the festival was a huge hit and the rain did not deter the Manchester people. We are all used to a bit of grey sky and drizzle. It is Manchester after all.
